VaughanAir Acquires DuraSystems Barriers, Inc. DuraDuct™ Line of Patented, Innovative Prefabricated Duct Systems

CROFTON, MD, June 24, 2024 — The UEP Group is excited to announce the formation of its newest portfolio company, VaughanAir, and VaughanAir’s strategic acquisition of the innovative DuraDuct™ line of advanced prefabricated duct systems from DuraSystems Barriers, Inc. The acquired products include the industries only patented rectangular 2-, 3-, and 4-hour fire-rated ducts, premium kitchen exhaust ducts, high-performance dishwasher exhaust ducts, specialized laboratory exhaust ducts, robust enclosures, and versatile wall and ceiling panels for a wide range of applications, many of which proudly carry UL and ETL listings. With a unique and patented double wall construction, this duct systems product line is lightweight and impact and moisture resistant. As a result, and unlike traditional ductwork, this duct system does not require additional wraps, is easier to install, saves space due to its slim profile, and the single trade installation reduces labor costs.

The DuraSystems representatives network in the US and Canada will remain in place, as will the strong local sales presence that has been established in the Toronto area. In the coming months, additional rep firms will be added to the network in areas that are currently underserved in the US and Canada. Product manufacturing will initially continue in the existing production facilities near Toronto, but will shift to a new, nearby updated facility later this year that is designed to increase capacity and improve production lead times.
